Chromatic Polynomials and the Spectrum of the Kneser Graph

Abstract

Using the transition matrix method, an explicit expression of the chromatic polynomial for the composition C_n[K_b] of the cycle C_n and the complete graph K_b will be obtained. In order to be able to do so the spectrum of the adjacency matrix of the Kneser graph K(k,b) will be determined.
